Hope Gardens

Hope Botanical Gardens, also known as the Royal Botanical Gardens, is Jamaica’s largest public green space, spanning approximately 200 acres in the Liguanea Plains of St. Andrew. Established in 1873 on the former Hope Estate, the gardens feature a diverse array of indigenous and exotic plant species. Visitors can explore various themed areas, including a palm grove, cactus garden, orchid house, and ornamental ponds. The gardens also house the Hope Zoo, offering a family-friendly experience. Managed by the Nature Preservation Foundation, Hope Gardens serves as a center for environmental education, conservation, and recreation.
